Foam Concrete

Foam concrete is a lightweight concrete that can be made up of anywhere between 30% and 80% air bubbles and with a compressive strength of between 0.5 to 30 N/mm2.

That makes it a very versatile type of concrete that can be used for a wide range of applications, but is particularly useful for covering underground pipes and cables without running the risk of crushing or otherwise damaging them. Other uses include void filling, roof insulation, trench reinstatement and even foundations for houses.

Foamed concrete has a number of advantages. It’s not only very versatile and extremely cost-effective, but it is also stable, self-compacting and highly resistant to water and frost, as well as providing good thermal insulation and soundproofing qualities.
